Hello!!!!!!!!!!
It is me like every week reporting on my mission in the greatest mission in the world, the amazing WA-TAC!! This week was pretty good so I will just cut to the chase and spill it all out! You already know about Monday considering I emailed on Tuesday so I will start on Tuesday!
Tuesday: Was nothing special, saw some possible new investigators, but none of them very strong yet! Did a lot of just seeing new investigators trying to find the strong ones who are ready for the gospel. We had a Bible Study that we have every Tuesday night, not to much happened today, just missionary work.
Wednesday: Today I got mail! I love getting mail from home!! I got a letter from Jessica which made my night!! Toady we found a lot of new investigators. Lakewood is full of people who would be interested in hearing the gospel! Whether they are solid or not, that is another story, but a lot of people invite us back and set up return appointments with us! Sister Julien (a sister in out district) called me and Elder Stevens to give her a blessing today, Stevens and I were walking so we tried to walk as fast as we could to the church, but the bishopric already gave her one before we got there so we just walked home.
Thursday: Today was a good day!! Worked hard and diligently! I received personal revelation that I am going to use in my daily life. I was told to do specific things and as I follow these specific things then I will be blessed with amazing wonderful things! I could feel the spirit so strongly as I gained this knowledge. I have continued to work on giving everything I can possibly give to the Lord! I am doing a great job and losing myself in the work! At times I can get to thinking abut other things, but I am just like any other human being haha I get distracted, but not distracted enough to hinder the work of course!! I am going to continue to give my life to the Lord so He can bless me with wonderful things!
Friday: Today was another productive day! Saw lots of people and got to talk to Tony's mom. She said in order for him to be baptized he needs to know about other religions. That is so easy! There is no other religion on this earth that will make that 10 year old kid feel the way he felt! We will totally get him baptized here pretty soon!! His little sister Sarah drew me a picture haha I am not sure what it is... But I have it. Time has been flying here... It is kinda upsetting! I feel that I need more time to complete the things I need to do! The time is flying though! As my wise father always told me " Lose yourself in the work" I am losing myself in the work but it is just flying by so fast I can't keep up with the work.
Saturday: Today was just busy! Stevens and I went potential visiting in Springbrook. We contacted a lot of our potentials there and we found out that a lot of them were in fact not solid, they just said we could come back so that they wouldn't feel rude I guess, but now we know so that was good! I also had a little tender mercy too! Stevens and I were walking out of an appointment and this car was blaring AC/DC listening to The Money Talk, it reminded me of home for some reason. I started to sing a long. It was funny! Oh I also tried to catch a squirrel! I was unsuccessful but I tried haha. We had a movie night with our investigators today at the church. We watched the Joseph Smith Restoration movie with them, It was a great success I think!
Sunday: Today was just a day. Not to good, the thing that kept me going today was the fact that I know people at home love me a lot and that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are there loving me too. Today we had to teach Gospel principles, Stevens and I were really unprepared because we forgot to plan for it. Our bad, it was a mistake. So we were just teaching the lesson straight out of the book, trying to do our best. Granted it was not the best lesson. Not even close, but it was a pretty good one for not preparing at all. Our trainers, were there and after church they just harped on us calling us stupid, morons, retards, and just railing us on how bad that class was. I know it wasn't the perfect lesson, but we knew that and it turned out pretty good in the end. Later in the day, they took us to an appointment, we went in and started to teach and he had tons of questions, so Elder Stevens and I answered these questions the best we could. The lesson went long about an hour maybe a little less and we were done. As we got into the car our trainers started railing on us again and calling us names, then they told us we were spiritually weak... I was really upset and frustrated. Our trainers are the type of people that, if you say they are wrong, they will just argue and argue and yell and yell and nothing will get done. So I once again just bottle it up inside and took the yelling. I have lost all respect for them because of their attitudes and how they talk to us. They are being prideful in my opinion and not humble.
I am going to continue to be humble and I am not going to get caught up in their game of screaming and yelling, that is not how I was taught to lead. God has blessed me with an Amazing family who has supported me every single day of my life! He has blessed me with an amazing girl who keeps me going strong in the gospel, who gives me strength when times get hard, and helps me get pointed in the right direction again. I have the gospel that is so amazing and I absolutely love!!!!!!!!!! I have received so many blessing from My Heavenly Father and from Jesus Christ!! I can't let these two Elder's who are really judgmental interfere with the faith and testimony that I have in my life! One thing I have learned from all this is that it takes a certain personality to lead, and to be a good leader you have to lead by example just like Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the people in my life who were good example for me, that were great leaders. I love you all soooo much!!! Thank you for what you do! Stay strong in the gospel!!! Pray daily!!! Strengthen your testimony daily!!! It will help you through any problems you may encounter in this life! I promise you that!!!
With Much Love,
Elder Benjamin Kunz
