What a crazy crazy week! Very exciting and a bit nuts! You will get a good kick out of this! I am trying my hardest to Kick Butt in Forks but it is extremely difficult. Our mission has already knocked every single house in Forks in the last 2 months... So people just keep sending us away. So here It goes!
Tuesday: We had a total of 19 lessons on Tuesday!! 3 lessons with a member, 15 lessons without members! Most of them were while knocking it was great! And only one lesson with a recent convert. We gave out 4 Books of Mormon and invited 2 People to be baptized! Their names are Shayla and Adrian Salazar! They have a 5 month old little boy and they love the idea that the church has on family! The date we set up for them is Jan. 3rd so we are working towards that and we hope to get them baptized!!! The spirit was so strong in that lesson it was amazing!
Wednesday: We had district meeting today! We took the public bus to Port Angeles... talk about ghetto haha just kidding it wasn't too bad. I was just afraid someone would try to pick pocket me so I kept my wallet in my shirt pocket and zipped my jacket all thge way up to keep it safe! While knocking we met this old guy and Elder Larson asked if missionaries had come over to his house before and he went off on how he lived in forks for a long time and it was like 20 minutes of him talking and Larson and I just nodding our heads, haha it was funny!
Thursday: It was freaking awesome! Larson and I made a ping pong table!! We now eat dinner on the couch because our ping pong table is our dinner table haha. We are getting really good at playing it haha. We play every night! It gets pretty competitive! I got rejected so many times while knocking today it was starting to make me mad! Like why wouldn't anyone want to hear this fantastic message! But the last lady who rejected me made my night! This lady opened her door and said " BYE! Turkey you later!" then slammed the door. Elder Larson and I stood there and we were like, turkey you later? What does that even mean! I still don't know what the heck it means haha.
Friday: This day was probably the strangest thing that I have ever encountered in my life... It was also very fun! To start the day we went to Clallam Bay and Seiku which are two cities on the coast off the ocean! It is soooo amazing! It is beautiful! We went and got two potential investagators! Then the weirdness started to happen, when we got back to Forks and started to go knocking, people would open the door and then close the door on us, but we move on. One house, (I wish we never knocked on), was so weird. Even though I wish we didn't knock on it, it was still agreat learning point for me. Anyways.... We knock on this house and this guy answers the door... With a metal pyramid on his head... I look at him and immediately stated to laugh, I said Hi we are the um... um... um... and I had to look at Elder Larson so he could help remind me of who we are haha we was mouthing missionaries and I just couldn't take the guy at the door serius so I just kept laughing at him it was so funny. So I got through the whole introduction and asked if he wanted to hear a message about the Gospel, and he goes sure let me get my coat and shoes... And he ran off.. I was ok.... the guy wanted to go on a walk with us to "scale" the streets. He was a freaking Shaman... He thought he could see auras, demons, ghost, fairies, spirits, and crap! It was so weird. So we started sharing a message with him and stated sharing about the Holy Ghost and he stopped in the middle of the sentence and says "It that what that is?", Elder Larson and I look at each other in confusion and Elder Larson was like "what?" and the guy goes "That little creature that is on your shoulder?" I look at him and I am like"what?!" And he was like I see a little creature on your shoulder "Is that the Holy Ghost?" I was like "Suuurree???" and continued on my message. The he started talking about how he was reincarnated and that in his first life he was a white wizard monk who could talk to trees, plants, and spirits so he said. He went and told the "villiage people" the the plants were upset with them so they burned him at the stake... I was soo lost at this point. Then he started talking about how he cleans the streets of Forks of demons and stuff and then he called himself the most powerful person in Forks. He kept saying that he evolved himself into an advanced being because he trained with these monk people and so he evolved into this strong being and he said "How I am not like normal people and I can do things on my own because I am so powerful." I told him that if you are such an advanced being then fine you can think that, but if you think you became an advanced being without God then you are <wrong>. Nothing is possible unless it is through God and then he was just quiet as I went on about how God is all powerful. It is by His will that we do things, not the will of our own. Then he looked at me and said, what if I told you I use to be a Christian prophet? Then Larson and I just laughed because he spent a whole 40 Minutes telling us about how he doesn't believe in God but he was a Prophet? It was stupid, then we stopped at his house and I said "This is your stop, now to end the night I want to bear my testimony, I know that this church is the true church and I know that the things we shared with you today are true, I believe God is all powerful, and through God we can do anything, only if he wants it done. We do not do things by ourselves unless God allows us too, without God we are nothing. I know that this church is true and I know that God is all powerful and that he gave his Only Begotten Son to sacrifice for all of us in the World, and through Jesus Christ I can have the gift of the Holy Ghost" and I closed. That was my night... Very Very weird!
Saturday: Today felt unproductive, we taught a lesson and I felt that the Spirit wasn't there because there were a bunch of kids screaming and it was hard to feel the Spitit. Elder Larson said that it wasn't a bad lesson but I felt it was. Anyways, we had another adventure while knocking. We were just doing the usual and we came up on this hosue and this guy answered the door. He was real nice, he asked how we were doing and even asked if we wanted food, and I was like no we just ate, then Elder Larson started to talk and so I looked down at the ground then I was like "Are you serious... You are kidding me..." I started to look up at this guy again and I was so shocked! The guy was wearing no pants!!!!!! He answered the door offered us dinner and was wearing no pants!!!!!!!!!! I laughed sooo hard as we walked away it was so weird!
Sunday: It was fast Sunday so as always I was hungry all day. I had to teach 3 and 4 year olds in primary.... Never again!! So loud and obnoxious. I didn't enjoy it haha. We got to see the Christmas devotional though and that was amazing!!! Then some handicap guy in a wheel chair yelled at us for not seeing his BLACK no trespassing sign in the dark with no lights around and so the cops picked us up and took us back to our car and told us to go home... Just Kidding it was a member, Brother Poton he is a cop and gave us a ride to our car since it was forever away haha.
Anyways that was my week! Fullof events!
