This is your favorite missionary in Washington coming at you live from Forks home of Twilight at this amazing 10:37 morning on Monday December 22nd! Just 3 days away from Christmas! I am so excited to Skype on Thursday and see your wonderful face family!!! I would appreciate some Christmas cards to hang up! I found that the best gift I could possibly receive here are letters and pictures!!! By far the best gifts!
Well here it goes my week!
Tuesday: Today started out really slow!!! We had to walk everywhere because we are running low on miles so we are trying to save up, so we walked. Nothing much happened because it takes like 30 minutes to get to a place across town in Forks, while walking we try to stay close to home because it is easier for us but not much happens. When we were knocking as usual, we met this old guy who goes to the Church of Nazarene, and he told us about how the book of Revelations ends with a period so that means that no more books should've been written after that because it ended with a period. Then Elder Larson was said, wasn't Revelations written before other books in the Bible, but they just put it at the end of the Bible?? The old guy was like uhh, uhhh, uhhh I don't know and then Elder Larson looked at me while the old guy was trying to figure that out and he whispered to me, "It was" and in my head I was like BBBUUURRRRNNNN!!!!!! it was awesome!!! hahaha. Then some lady called us a colt and was like I don't want to be a part of your colt! I was like "ummm... we prefer religious group." she just stormed off into her house, it was funny! Then we played soccer with Ethan again! Taught him a great lesson and I even coached him how to play solid defense as an offensive player it was great! He is a good kid.
Wednesday: We had district meeting today so that took up most of the day. We usually take the bus down to Port Angeles then the ZL's take us to the church where we have district meeting, but we didn't get a ride from them this time because they were on exchanges so we had to take 3 buses to get to where we wanted to go, then we had to walk and it was really confusing! Then we had a bad knocking night so that was all that happened....
Thursday: We had weekly planning today and planned for the easiest week ever!! Christmas week!! I am so excited for Skype! We also had park day where everyone in the mission doesn't drive at all so once again we walked everywhere and it poured!! All day!!! I was so soaked by the end of the day! I got to pet an english bulldog so I win on that haha.
Friday: Friday afternoon was sooo slow! We had nothing! All of our afternoon appointments fell through and no one answered doors when we tried to see them, even in Clallam Bay! It was just unsuccessful! We then taught this guy, Brett, he is Native American and the first time we talked to him Elder Larson and I were hesitant to teach him but the restoration lesson went really really really well!! I was pretty excited to teach him more! then when we went home the police were at our apartment complex and a guy from the ward who is a cop, Brother Poton came up and was " Hey Elders how's it going, now would be a good time to get home, there is a crazy guy loose in the woods and we can't find him". it was really creepy!
Saturday and Sunday: Were both pretty unsuccessful. We had 1 good lesson on Sunday and that is it. It was a really hard week but I just found things to laugh about and be happy about! The letters from home really helped and the pictures, it gave me a sense of what I am serving a mission for! To be the best possible for everyone at home! That was my week, sorry it is kinda boring but it was just that kind of week haha. I love you!!!!!!! And I am out of time so pictures have to wait until next week): sorry!!! Love you!!!
With much Love,
Elder Ben Kunz
